Bernardo Silva shares whether he thinks Arsenal will keep fighting for the Premier League with Man City now

Bernardo Silva has revealed whether he thinks Arsenal will continue to compete for Premier League titles with Manchester City.

It seems like until Pep Guardiola stays at the Etihad Stadium, no other team will be able to topple City.

During the £378,846-a-week man’s career, only Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp have beaten him to league titles.

Bernardo Silva reveals whether Arsenal will keep competing with City

With Pep Guardiola’s motivation to continue winning seemingly not undergoing a dip, it will be difficult for others to have one over his team.

But teams have shown in recent years that they can go toe-to-toe with this Sky Blues side.

Arsenal are one of those teams, as Bernardo Silva answered if they can keep Manchester City on their toes going forward as well.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “For sure. I know their manager very well because he was here with us. I know how demanding and how intelligent he is. If you look at their squad, they’re very young and for sure, they’re very hungry to go after some titles so no doubt about that.”

“No, we can’t [start the season slow].”

“Ideally, we would like to stay on top all season knowing that it’s not easy.”

Bernardo Silva is absolutely correct

In head-to-head games as well, Bernardo Silva saw his Manchester City team draw and lose to Arsenal in their two league meetings.

Mikel Arteta’s side have also led in the title race for a majority of the two previous seasons.

As a result, the evidence shows that they can keep competing with City.

Whether the Premier League champions will have the drive to win five league titles in a row is a mystery as well.

But knowing the serial winners Manchester City have like Bernardo Silva, they will not let up in their pursuit to fight until the end for glory, despite facing competition from a top Arsenal side.

City are a winning institution and their relentless drive for success does not look like it will come to a halt anytime soon.

As long as the Sky Blues have characters like Bernardo Silva, Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne to name a few in their team, they will always compete for the biggest honours.
