Cesc Fabregas says player Chelsea sold in 2019 was even better than Sergio Aguero

Cesc Fabregas has suggested that Chelsea had a player who was even better than Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero.

The Spaniard has played with some of the greatest players to ever grace the game. From the likes of Thierry Henry to Lionel Messi, he has rubbed shoulders with world-class players.

Fabregas knows a good player when he sees one, and he has now made a big claim about one of his former Chelsea teammates.

Eden Hazard was absolutely incredible when he was at Chelsea.

The Belgian joined the Blues from Lille in the summer of 2012. Everyone knew he was an incredible talent then, and he totally delivered.

Hazard played 352 games for Chelsea during his time there and directly contributed to 195 goals in all competitions – 110 goals and 85 assists.

He won two Premier League and two Europa League titles along with an FA Cup and a League Cup during his seven-year stay at Stamford Bridge before he was sold to Real Madrid in 2019.

Cesc Fabregas spent five years with Hazard at Chelsea, and the two of them shared some incredible moments together.

The Spaniard, who is a coach now, sees the game in a different way, but he is still adamant that Hazard was better than some big names in football.

In a video on Goal, Fabregas picked the Belgian over Manchester City hero Sergio Aguero and nine other superstars.

The players he snubbed for Hazard are Antoine Griezmann, Gonzalo Higuan, Diego Forlan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcus Rashford, James Rodriguez, Romelu Lukaku, Radamel Falcao and Fernando Torres.

Sergio Aguero vs Eden Hazard’s stats in the Premier League

Sergio Aguero and Eden Hazard are both icons of the Premier League.

The Argentine gave Manchester City fans arguably the greatest moment in their history, while Hazard put a smile on Chelsea supporters’ faces for years.

Both players were truly incredible in their prime, but what do their stats in the Premier League look like?

Hazard played 245 games for Chelsea in the league, scored 85 goals and provided 54 assists.

Aguero, on the other hand, played 275 games for Manchester City in the Premier League. scored 184 goals and provided 47 assists.

Fabregas is convinced that Hazard was better than Aguero, but we’re sure Manchester City fans will disagree after looking at the numbers above.
