Former US ambassador to UN Haley says she 'will be voting for Trump'

Nikki Haley announced on Wednesday that US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump can count on her vote in the upcoming elections in November.

Haley said at an event in Washington on Wednesday that she has not always agreed with Trump politically, "But Biden has been a catastrophe, so I will be voting for Trump."

The former US ambassador to the United Nations dropped out of the Republican nomination contest for November's presidential election in March and had initially refused to support Trump's nomination.

Haley stated that Trump should not assume he has the support of her voters, regardless of her own personal decision.

"Trump would be smart to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me, and not assume that they're just gonna be with him," Haley warned on Wednesday.

The US election on November 5 will see a rematch between Trump and Biden, who is set to run for president again without real competition within his party.
