'Miles off it': Jack Wilshere tears into Jamie Carragher after what he's just said about Arsene Wenger

Arsenal hero Jack Wilshere has had a go at Jamie Carragher after some of his comments about Arsene Wenger.

The Liverpool-supporting pundit is very vocal about his opinions, and he made a big claim about the legendary former Arsenal manager recently.

That seems to have irked Wilshere, who feels that Carragher is being ‘biased’. The Arsenal U18s boss has hit out at the Sky Sports pundit on social media.

Jack Wilshere blasts Jamie Carragher’s claim about Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger is one of the greatest managers to ever grace the game.

The legendary Frenchman completely revolutionised the English game when he became the Arsenal manager back in 1996.

He achieved incredible things at Highbury, including going an entire season unbeaten – a feat no other club in the Premier League has managed to replicate.

However, Jamie Carragher feels outgoing Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is actually better than Wenger.

“I would put him [Klopp] above Wenger, the only reason being is the Champions League. They didn’t quite crack that Arsenal,” he said.

Jack Wilshere, who played under Wenger, was far from impressed with Carragher’s comments.

The Arsenal U18s manager, who isn’t usually active on X, took to the platform to have a real go at Carragher for what he said about the Frenchman.

Wilshere tweeted: “Klopp, unbelievable how he transformed Liverpool, but Arsene’s legacy in the Premier League is second to none.

“Sorry Jamie, but you are miles off it, please don’t be so biased and respect Arsene and what he done over a longer period, including leading the only team in the Premier League to be Invincible.

“Everyone appreciates what Pep has done and changed the way we see football in this country but don’t forget AW had a similar effect when he came in 96!

“You know that era better than me and witnessed it so let’s not forget that!”

Jurgen Klopp vs Arsene Wenger by the numbers

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool career came to an end after 304 wins in 489 games, boasting a win percentage of 62.16 per cent.

The German won eight trophies as the Reds boss, including a Premier League and a Champions League title.

Arsene Wenger, on the other hand, managed 1234 games as Arsenal’s manager and won 715 games. His win percentage stands at just under 58 per cent.

Even though that win rate is lesser than Klopp’s, it’s actually a more impressive figure considering he managed over two-and-a-half times the number of games that the German did.

Wenger ended his Arsenal career with 17 trophies, which included seven FA Cups and three Premier League titles.
