Report: How the Nottingham Forest hierarchy truly feel about Nuno Espirito Santo now

Nuno Espirito Santo has kept Nottingham Forest in the Premier League – but just how do the club’s hierarchy feel about him?

The Reds secured survival on Sunday with a 2-1 win over Burnley, although it was pretty much done and dusted when Luton lost to West Ham the previous week.

Still, Forest finished in professional style at the weekend, with Chris Wood bagging twice against his old club.

In the aftermath of that win, a number of reports have began to circulate.

One is that Bayern Munich had Nuno Espirito Santo on their shortlist – although Vincent Kompany now looks set for that gig.

It seems as though stuff is emerging on a daily basis aboutForest and now it’s been shared how the hierarchy feel about the head coach.

Report shares how Nottingham Forest hierarchy feel about Nuno Espirito Santo

This piece of information comes from the Daily Mail who have released more speculation about the Forest boss.

Although no clubs are actually named, they believe that clubs from Spain and Portugal are both keen on Espirito Santo this summer.

However, the piece of information that Forest fans will be interested in is that the hierarchy are happy to stick with Espirito Santo.

It appears to suggest that unless the head coach wants to leave, then he will take charge of the club at the start of next season.

Espirito Santo oversaw seven wins during 2023/24 and after being dealt a pretty bad hand, perhaps it’s right to let him have the full pre-season.

Forest should let head coach continue

For continuity purposes, this does seem to make a lot of sense.

Forest sacked Steve Cooper in December and clearly, it wasn’t a popular decision given his rapport with the club’s supporters.

However, many conceded that it was time for the Welshman to leave.

Espirito Santo has steadied the ship and with a decent squad starting to come to fruition, he deserves the chance to shape it how he sees fit.

It’s a relief that the hierarchy aren’t seemingly ready to fire another manager.

Now, Espirito Santo must do whatever it takes to make sure Forest aren’t in another relegation battle next season.
