Patch 8.11 to make all Valorant maps playable, with a catch

After announcing Haven’s return to Valorant map rotation, Riot has another excellent news for the fans. From patch 8.11, all Valorant maps will be playable, just not in ranked mode.

Valorant map rotations keep the game fresh and entertaining, but some maps can be bland and boring. For this reason, the current rotation prompted negative feedback from the player base, who had been asking Riot for a re-swap. In the recent developer update, Riot confirmed that Split and Breeze will be rotated out to accommodate Haven and a new map, a clear testament to the player’s influence and value in shaping the game’s updates.

Now, Riot has dropped another update, announcing that all maps will be playable in Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, and Escalation.

“We have decided to remove map pool restrictions from Swiftplay, Spike Rush, Escalation, and Unrated queues. Starting on 8.11, these modes will have all Valorant maps. We are listening to and testing these changes based on your feedback, so we still want to make sure you have the tools to practice,” Valorant Product Manager Tiffy Tsay said.

This means players can now enjoy all Valorant maps released so far without any restrictions. However, the ranked mode will still include the seven maps picked out for the 8.11 rotation.

Here are all the maps included in Valorant patch 8.11 rotation:

  • Ascent
  • Bind
  • Haven
  • Icebox
  • Lotus
  • Sunset
  • New map

What is Bastion in Valorant?

Hidden within Valorant’s code is apparently a map known as Bastion. It was originally discovered by a coder who shared his findings on Reddit. This included a thumbnail of a yet-to-be-released map known as Bastion.

Riot has not yet confirmed the leak, so its authenticity remains uncertain at this time. In any case, a new map will be released in patch 8.11. Details should emerge soon since patch 8.11 is set to be released in early June, only a few weeks away.
