It’s a one game at a time mentality for everyone involved with Arkansas.

“Yeah just come out and play hard, take it game by game,” Stovall said. “The only thing I’m focused on tomorrow is the game tomorrow. Hydrate, sleep well, get some rest, come out here and play hard and if we play hard then i don’t think anybody’s gonna be upset, so that’s the No. 1 thing to do … They’re a really good ball club, really well coached and they have a lot of good players, so it’s gonna be fun and we’re looking forward to it.”

Kentucky took two of three games from Arkansas back in early May. The Razorbacks won 10-3 in teh opener, but lost 11-3 and 7-4, respectively, in the next two.

“I think we’re all excited and we didn’t play our best during that series,” Foutch said. “After that series, we wanted to play them again, so we’re going to play hard tomorrow.”

As far as Arkansas’ first game of the SEC Tournament, a tough loss to South Carolina could be summed up by one thing: missed opportunities.

That’s how head coach Dave Van Horn put it.

“Yeah, just on our side, you know, just kind of a game of maybe missed opportunities,” Van Horn said. “You know, we had a couple of chances to blow it open instead of two, maybe three or four, one hit away. You know, that was disappointing. Give them credit, though, for pitching out of a couple of jams.

“And on the other side, you know, as far as our pitching, you know, we hit a guy, hit a two run homer, we hit a guy that had to run homer. First inning, two quick outs and two walks, base hit, behind in the count, throws a fastball, 2-0, base hit, they score a run, you know, free passes or at this time of year when everybody plays good, they’ll come back and get you and they got us today.”
