A week after signing NIL representation, Peyton Houston inked his first endorsement deal.

Viewed as one of the top quarterback recruits in the 2027 cycle, the Shreveport (Louisiana) Evangel Christian Academy quarterback already picked up more than 10 scholarship offers. Schools that have offered include Arkansas, Colorado, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas Techand Texas A&M, among others.

A top prospect in his class, he’s inked an exclusive, multi-year trading card deal with Leaf Trading Cards. Houston is repped by Team IFA. The agency helped negotiate the deal along with Lionheart Sports Agency.

“I’m grateful to God to have a platform that I can use, to not only impact myself but my entire team and community,” Houston said in a statement. “It’s a blessing to work with one of the top card brands in Leaf and I cannot wait to continue to grow with them in the future.”

The agreement makes Leaf Trading Cards the sole producer of Peyton Houston’s official trading cards. Since the inception of NIL in college sports in the summer of 2021, the race has been on for trading card brands to sign top high school recruits.

The 2027 quarterback can monetize his NIL rights because the Louisiana High School Athletic Association allows high schoolers to cash in on their publicity rights without losing eligibility.

Leaf has worked with a number of high-profile athletes in the last 30-plus months, signing deals with Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleavaand USC Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Caleb Williams. Houston joins USC quarterback commit Julian Lewis, Florida quarterback DJ Lagway and Tennessee quarterback commit George MacIntyre as the latest signees.

Peyton Houston jumps into NIL space

Houston signed with Team IFA last week, making him the agency’s first NIL athlete at the high school level. The full-service NFL agency continues to expand its NIL footprint with more than 20 college football clients.

Houston was at Oklahoma’s spring game earlier this month. The 6-foot, 185-pound quarterback has taken trips to Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, USC and LSU. He has a 4.0 GPA as he closes out his freshman year of high school.

“I’m incredibly thankful that Peyton along with all other high school athletes in the state of Louisiana have an opportunity to build partnerships with companies and leverage their name, image and likeness,” Houston’s father, Shaun, recently said. “Forming a partnership with IFA will enable Peyton to utilize his platform for the betterment of his team, his community and other initiatives that are important to him.”
