Meghan Markle may no longer be a working royal, but she apparently still spends money "like it is going out of style," according to a Hollywood insider.
This led veteran royal reporter Jennie Bond to state: "I personally have a bit of a problem with Meghan or anyone, including members of the royal family, wearing such expensive outfits and dripping with jewels that are worth thousands and thousands of pounds when you're going somewhere like Nigeria."
"Personally, I don't see how you do that, it feels a bit out of tune when most Nigerians are thinking where the next meal is going to come from," she added. "But it's not only Meghan who does that, the royals do as well."
The expert also pointed out how millions of Nigerians live in abject poverty, and further pointed out: "Perhaps Meghan felt that was what was expected of her because she does still feel royal even though she doesn't want to be part of the royals."

An insider familiar with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex' situation told an outlet that the couple's travel arrangements within Nigeria were coordinated by the Nigerian Chief of Defense Staff. The source also highlighted that Air Peace, Nigeria's and West Africa's largest airline, operates daily flights from Lagos to London Gatwick Airport in Britain.
This follows reports that the founder of Air Peace, Dr. Allen Onyema, who facilitated air transport for the Sussexes during their Nigeria tour, is wanted in the U.S. The airline's owner is facing numerous charges related to millions of dollars in alleged fraud, as outlined in a federal indictment from November 2019.
Onyema is accused of "using his status as a prominent business leader and airline executive to launder more than $20 million from Nigeria through U.S. bank accounts."
