With a title race of the ages, plenty of shock results and incredible individual performances, the 2023/24 Premier League season may go down as one of the greatest ever.
Manchester City ultimately won an historic fourth consecutive title, while Aston Villa managed to secure UEFA Champions League football, and Arsenal continued to build a future title-winning team.
So which players made all of that possible?
We've taken a look by picking a player of the season for all 20 teams...
Arsenal - Declan Rice
Is Declan Rice the best £100m+ signing of all time.
Considering his competition for the tag (Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona, Ousmane Dembele to, yep, Barcelona) and his incredible performances in his debut campaign at Arsenal, he is certainly up there with Kylian Mbappe and few others.
The midfielder was the driving force behind Arsenal's strong title challenge, scoring big goals and putting in commanding performances throughout 2023/24.
Aston Villa - Ollie Watkins
Ollie Watkins had the best season of his career in 2023/24.
The forward was one of the most effective players in the final third in the Premier League, bagging a remarkable 19 goals and league-high 13 assists for the Champions League-qualifying Aston Villa.
Bournemouth - Dominic Solanke
Dominic Solanke has long-been a pretty damn good goalscrer in the Championship, but never quite put it together in the Premier League.
That is, until Andoni Iraola rocked up at the Vitality Stadium.
Since the Spaniard took charge, Solanke has been a man on fire in the Premier League - scoring a top-flight career high 19 goals. Nice one.
Brentford - Bryan Mbeumo
With Ivan Toney missing games due to a betting ban and then returning and being, to be perfectly honest, quite bad, Brentford needed Bryan Mbeumo to step up in 2023/24.
And he did exactly that. His 15 goal contributions were the main reason why the Bees didn't get dragged into a relegation battle.
Brighton and Hove Albion - Pascal Gross
Brighton were rather disappointing during the 2023/24 campaign.
Evan Ferguson underperformed, as did Ansu Fati, and basically every other player on the books at the Amex Stadium.
One player who did continue to hold his own though was Pascal Gross. His ten assists in the league alone are nothing to be sniffed at.
Burnley - Lyle Foster
Yes, it was slim pickings at Burnley.
They were bloody awful in 2023/24.
In the end, we picked Lyle Foster as their player of the season simply because he was top scorer.
Chelsea - Cole Palmer
Right, onto a more deserving player of the season: Cole Palmer.
The attacking midfielder, signed with little fanfare last summer due to precious little top level experience, has become a genuine superstar in his debut year at Chelsea.
His remarkable tally of 22 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League were enough to earn him the Young Player of the Season award, and likely a place on the plane to Euro 2024 too.
Crystal Palace - Michael Olise
It's no coincidence that Crystal Palace look 10 times better when Michael Olise plays.
Although he only made 19 appearances for the Eagles due to injury, his 16 goal contributions and the end-of-season form he inspired by being fit and available is proof that he is the best player currently on the books at Selhurst Park.
Everton - Jarrad Branthwaite
One of the breakout stars of the 2023/24 Premier League season, Jarrad Branthwaite has become an indespensible member of Sean Dyche's Everton team.
And it's pretty easy to see why, I mean look at the size of him - he's ginormous.
Branthwaite's physical attributes, as well has his impeccable positioning and reading of the game, helped Everton secure their place in the league for another season.
Fulham - Joao Palhinha
Put simply, Fulham probably aren't a pretty decent Premier League team without Joao Palhinha in the middle of the park.
For a second consecutive season, the Portugal international managed to win the most tackles in the division by a considerable distance (24 more than any other player, to be exact).
Liverpool - Alexis Mac Allister
It is still baffling that Liverpool were able to sign Alexis Mac Allister for £35m in the same summer that Brighton forced Chelsea to fork out £115m for Moises Caicedo.
The Argentine World Cup winner, as expected, has been a hit at Anfield. providing a consistent source of both offensive and defensive quality in the centre of the pitch.
Luton Town - Ross Barkley
The Ross Barkley renaissance.
Who saw that coming?
The 30-year-old returned to the Premier League this summer following a spell in France with OGC Nice, and look firmly back to his best with Luton Town.
He looks likely to remain in the Premier League for the 2024/25 season despite Luton's relegation.
Manchester City - Phil Foden
The FWA Footballer of the Year, Phil Foden has undoubtedly been the best player in the Premier League throughout the 2023/24 campaign.
With Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne both struggling with ailments at times, Foden has been the one who stepped up in the final third in their absence - bagging 19 goals and eight assists to guide City to a fourth conseuctive title.
Manchester United - Alejandro Garnacho
Let's be honest, there weren't too many standout options for Manchester United - the did endure their worst ever Premier League finish after all.
A few youngsters like Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho did show that there may be some light at the end of the tunnel at Old Trafford however. Garnacho, in particular, impressed United fans with his quality in the final third and sheer work rate off the ball.
Newcastle United - Alexander Isak
While Erling Haaland is definitively the best striker in the Premier League right now, Alexander Isak is a not-too-distant second.
When fit, Isak was outstanding in front of goal for Newcastle, netting 21 goals in just 27 starts.
When you've been compared to Thierry Henry, you must be doing something right.
Nottingham Forest - Anthony Elanga
Signed as Brennan Johnson's replacement over the summer, Anthony Elanga became a fan favourite at the City Ground in his maiden campaign at Nottingham Forest.
His work rate and determination to hit the byline and get crosses into the box made him a consistent threat in the final third for Forest - as his 14 goal contributions attest.
Sheffield United - Wes Foderingham
Yes, he conceded 104 goals in 38 games.
Yes, we know, of course that's bad.
But it wasn't all his fault.
Wes Foderingham actually tried his bloody hardest to keep Sheffield United up, making a rather impressive 133 saves. One of those saves even earned him a Castrol Save of the Month award.
Tottenham Hotspur - Son Heung-min
Son Heung-min was given the unenviable task of replacing Tottenham's all-time top goalscorer Harry Kane at the tip of the club's new look attack.
And, considering he contributed 27 goals and assists, it's fair to say that he performed the role admirably.
West Ham United - Alphonse Areola
After years of waiting on the sidelines, Alphonse Areola was finally made West Ham United's first-choice goalkeeper in 2023/24, and bah gawd did he make the most of his opportunity.
With countless player of the match performances, 138 saves and a Castrol Save of the Month award to his name, there's a case to made for Areola as the best goalkeeper in the division right now.
Wolves - Mario Lemina
If you saw Mario Lemina play at Juventus and Southampton, chances are that you weren't expecting much from him at Wolves.
However, credit where it's due, Lemina has developed into a genuinely very good box-to-box midfielder in recent times. The 30-year-old netted a few memorable goals in 2023/24 against the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
