Manchester United fans have a lot to say about Ten Hag rumours ahead of FA Cup Final

With mere hours remaining until Manchester United have an FA Cup final, rumours around Erik ten Hag’s future are heating up. Here’s how fans are reacting to this news.

The season’s biggest game is yet to be played for Manchester United, with a trip to Wembley awaiting Erik ten Hag.

But despite this, the rumours over his future will not hold off, with talk of replacements heating up. A report from James Ducker with The Telegraph has revealed that United are making contact with managers already.

The names mentioned are Kieran McKenna, Thomas Frank, Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino. Sky Sports have even stated that McKenna’s representatives have already met with Ineos.

Fans however have had a lot to say about the rumours circulating just before the FA Cup final.

How have Manchester United fans reacted to the rumours around Erik ten Hag

On social media, as rumours of his future began to heat up, fans all had a lot to say and quite a few were backing the manager ahead of the final.

“It’s your job now to back the manager in the FA Cup Final!” One fan wrote, calling upon the fanbase to unite behind the manager, at least this weekend.

Another fan explained United should keep the Dutchman, saying: “United should hold onto their ETH, IMO.”

A third fan commented on the situation: “I don’t think there’s any doubt he has the majority of fans backing him on Saturday”.

This fan went on a passionate rant about the situation: “They are all talking about sacking the manager who’s brought the club to a back-back final for the first time since Sir Alex TWO days before the FA Cup final. This fanbase is a disgrace. I get if you hate Ten Hag but at least back your manager before a cup final.”

A fifth fan only had eyes for Saturday: “Biggest match of our season in 2 days! Roll on Wembley! Back the manager or do one!”

“The Erik ten hag love on the timeline tonight has been beautiful, hopefully, those at Wembley will also back the man to the moon and back”, wrote yet another fan backing the manager.

Forget manager talk, the Red Devils have a trophy to win

The response from fans to the Ten Hag rumours is brilliant to see and shows that the majority of the fanbase is doing the right thing and getting firmly behind the manager.

Not everyone will want to see him continue as the boss long term, but nothing will change from now until after the final, so the team must be supported.

Ten Hag could lead United to an absolute masterclass of a performance which could see the poor season all but forgotten with a silverware-coloured end to the season.

Nobody could blame Ineos for whatever decision they inevitably make, but right now the only thing that matters is beating City and taking the trophy home.

Leave the managerial talk until next week, let’s win the cup.
