Two-vehicle crash on A228 Whetsted Road, Paddock Wood

Firefighters are having to cut the roof off a vehicle to release a trapped person after a crash.

Drivers are advised to avoid the A228 Whetsted Road, in Paddock Wood, due to congestion while crews work at the scene.

Firefighters are removing the roof of one of the vehicles to release a person trapped inside and two fire engines are currently in attendance.

The incident was reported to the police at 7.45am and officers are in attendance.

The police confirmed the crash was between a van and a car.

The ambulance service say it was called to the accident before 8am this morning and currently has crews providing medical treatment at the scene.
