Report: Bayern Munich now want to sign Man City player Harry Kane called 'fantastic'

Bayern Munich have reportedly got their eyes on one of Manchester City’s star players this summer.

Over the past few years, City have seen lots of big-name players make moves away from the Etihad Stadium such as Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez among others.

Now that another summer transfer window is close to opening for business, one of Europe’s top clubs, who could be about to appoint someone who has a big connection to City, have set their sights on launching a transfer move for one of the Manchester club’s current star players.

According to a recent report from The Sun, Bayern a lining up a summer transfer swoop for Jack Grealish.

The report also adds that Vincent Kompany, who has been heavily linked with the managerial role at the German club recently, is a big fan of Grealish and thinks he could tempt the winger to make the move to Munich.

It’s also been claimed that the prospect of linking up with his England teammate, Harry Kane, who once called Grealish a “fantastic” player, could sway the City star to join Bayern.

City should not consider selling Grealish

Back in the 2021 summer transfer window, the Blues shelled out a club-record fee of £100m to sign Grealish from fellow Premier League side Aston Villa.

Since then, the 28-year-old has made 125 appearances for City across all competitions, scoring 14 goals, delivering 18 assists and winning numerous trophies including three Premier League titles.

Even though the England international only started 26 of the 36 games he’s appeared in this season, we feel that City should not consider selling Grealish to one of their European rivals this summer.

Despite finding himself out of the starting XI at times this season, Grealish was described by Pep Guardiola back in February as a player with a “special quality” in terms of what the team needs.

Moving forward, even if an offer from Bayern comes their way, City should keep hold of the winger and help him get back to being a regular figure in the team if his performances warrant it.
