The USF Bulls and head coach Alex Golesh have one of their biggest recruiting weekends of the year coming up with about two dozen prospects expected in Tampa Saturday.

The event is dubbed the “Bay Bash” and will be more of a day of fun and games with the staff, commits and the Bulls’ top targets in the 2025 cycle rather than a traditional, educational visit.

Several of USF’s commits will be on campus, including the quarterback and face of the group. That prospect is St. Augustine (Fla.) High’s Locklan Hewlett, the No. 823 overall recruit and No. 57 signal-caller nationally per the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. Hewlett was committed to Wake Forest before flipping to the Bulls in mid-April.

Two receivers Hewlett will be throwing to at the next level will be on campus. USF verbals Koredell Barley from Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley and Ben Cole from Tampa (Fla.) Alonso are set to return to see the staff.

And the Bulls’ prized offensive line commit Caleb Harris, who also held offers from Tennessee, Syracuse, Kentucky, Colorado, Duke and others, is expected back on campus. The Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas standout stands at 6-3.5, 265 pounds.

Two USF commits on the defensive side of the ball will be on campus, too; St. Cloud (Fla.) Tohopekaliga class of 2025 EDGE Andrew Hines and Auburndale (Fla.) High class of 2026 linebacker Elijah Dias are those players.

Two USF cornerback targets are due in for USF in Vero Beach (Fla.) High’s Robert Jones and Tampa (Fla.) Gaither’s Serious Stinyard. Both three-star recruits are armed with a handful of power conference offers. The following three Bulls’ safety targets are expected in as well: Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips’ Maliki Wright, a former USF pledge, Marietta (Ga.) Cass’ Ian Williams and Ocoee (Fla.) High’s Joshua Guerrier.

Moving to the offensive side of the ball, Clearwater (Fla.) Calvary Christian’s Sean Cuono is one of USF’s top, local targets. The Bulls will host Cuono Saturday, and USF is battling the likes of Auburn, Kansas State, South Carolina and Minnesota for the three-star back.

There’s a possibility of additional, big-time visitors for USF’s recruiting weekend as well. It’s shaping up to be a big weekend in Tampa.
