Former tax service head Nasirov released on bail

“Today, in the framework of a criminal case under Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, bail in the amount of 55 million hryvnias has been posted for the former head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine,” the court said in the message.

Until at least July 7, Nasirov is not allowed to leave Kyiv without permission, is prohibited from communicating with “certain individuals,” must wear an electronic bracelet, and has surrendered his passport.

On Oct. 31, 2022, HACC arrested Nasirov, on suspicion of accepting a bribe of UAH 722 million ($18 million) from billionaire Oleh Bakhmatyuk. The bail was initially set at UAH 532 million ($13.2 million), later lowered to UAH 65 million ($1.6 million).
