What’s the worst thing on the McDonald’s menu? Filet-O-Fish? Apple Pie? McMuffin? It’s a difficult question as it depends on your own tastes.

‘Worst’ thing on the McDonald’s menu

Speaking on TikTok, ex-McDonald’s corporate chef Mike Haracz said the worst thing on the menu is… their premium chicken sandwiches!

By that, he means any chicken sandwich that’s not the basic McChicken from the Saver Menu, which features a juicy chicken patty, topped with shredded lettuce and creamy mayonnaise, all served on a perfectly toasted bun.

Right now, the premium chicken burger on sale at McDonald’s is the McCrispy, but there have been many different ones over the years including the Chicken Legend and Crispy Chicken Deluxe.

“It’s the worst tasting and the thing I’ve had the worst experience with,” Haracz said. “The McCrispy is not crispy, it’s flavorless, when I’ve ordered it it’s usually dry, overheld, overcooked and I’ve always had a bad experience with McDonald’s premium chicken sandwiches.”

His hatred for them dates back to the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which launched in 2015 and had a weird sour taste according to the chef, whilst also being way too dry.

Others reveal their ‘worst’ item

In the comments, people are sharing their least favorite McDonald’s menu items, and the chicken sandwich seems to be an unpopular choice.

There were lots of votes for the Filet-O-Fish, the fast food chain’s only fish burger, which features a crispy fish filet patty made with wild-caught Alaskan Pollock on melty American cheese and topped with creamy McDonald’s tartar sauce, served on a soft, steamed bun.

“The Filet-O-Fish for me,” one person commented, while another agreed: “Filet-O-Fish. Hands down.”

Other unliked menu items include the Big Mac, McRib, Shamrock Shake, fries, baked apple pie, pancakes and burger buns.

Others took a different approach, with one person saying the worst thing is the fact they no longer sell snack wraps, and another adding: “The prices!”
