Baseball: Seibu breaks 8-game slide with win over Orix

The Seibu Lions halted their season-worst losing streak at eight with a 6-5 come-from-behind win Saturday over the Orix Buffaloes.

The Lions, last in the Pacific League, turned a 5-2 deficit into a one-run lead in a six-hit seventh inning, capped by Shuta Tonosaki's two-run single, at Belluna Dome.

Seibu's Takeya Nakamura hit his 477th career homer in the second, putting him all alone in 10th on the Nippon Professional Baseball all-time home run list, led by Sadaharu Oh's 868.

Among Saturday's other games, Jeremy Beasley (2-0) and three relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as the Central League-leading Hanshin Tigers beat the Yomiuri Giants 3-0.
