Luke Littler celebrates Man Utd's FA Cup win over Man City at home 'for my own safety'

Luke Littler has taken to social media to bask in Manchester United's FA Cup triumph over rivals Manchester City after admitting he had to watch it from home for his 'own safety'.

The 17-year-old is a huge United supporter and even met some of the squad during his historic run at the World Championships.

He was even given a special invitation to Carrington at the end of January to meet with Erik ten Hag.

Littler has attended a number of games this season as well, but he wasn't able to make it to Wembley for the FA Cup final.

Taking to Instagram before the big match, Littler snapped a photo of his TV screen at home with the FA Cup final on.

He wrote: "At home watching the game for my own safety today, YANITED."

And the teenage darts sensation wasn't left disappointed as goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo gave United a surprise 2-0 lead over the Premier League champions at the break.

Littler showed his delight at half-time by posting a photo of the score, along with the words: "YANITED YANITED YANITED."

A goal from Jeremy Doku in the 87th minute made for a nervous end to the game for United as they battled to hold on.

But Pep Guardiola's side were unable to find the equaliser as United managed to end the season with silverware and secure their place in the Europa League next season.

Littler was clearly delighted after the match as he posted a series of photos to his Instagram story.

He first reposted United's full-time result along with the caption: "GET INNNNNNN!!! YANITED YANITED YANITED."
