Declan Rice sends message to Manchester United star, and shows classless Arsenal how to behave

Manchester United have won the FA Cup after beating Manchester City 2-1 in the final at Wembley.

Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho scored the goals on a memorable day for Erik ten Hag‘s team.

Pep Guardiola moaned because he felt City were the better team, and he was totally wrong with his assessment.

United’s players have had a difficult time this season, especially summer signing Mason Mount, who was lucky to make the bench after an ongoing battle with injuries.

Declan Rice message to Mason Mount

Mason Mount was a late substitute at Wembley as Manchester United fought to close out a 2-1 victory, and he did his job.

This was a happy way for Mount to end the season, and also ended an unwanted streak where he had lost his previous six finals, as a Chelsea player.

Mount shared a picture from the Manchester United dressing room as he posed with his medal, writing: “Ending a frustrating 2023/24 with a trophy. Your support pushed us all the way today as it has all season. Thank you United.”

Mount received a message from his pal, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice, who responded: “Love it you.”

Arsenal response to Manchester United FA Cup win

Declan Rice’s congratulatory message was a classy touch, something his current employers could learn a little from.

Minutes after Manchester United clinched the club’s 13th FA Cup win, Arsenal sent out a post on X, which began: “We have a legacy in the FA Cup like no other team having lifted the trophy a record 14 times.”

United are coming for the Gunners’ record 14th next season, and this victory over City will have hurt them.

If Arsenal had managed to beat City in their league game, instead of playing for a draw, they would have won the league, finishing two points behind them.

As it is, United have had a more successful season than the Gunners, winning silverware for a second successive campaign.
