Recapping 865-Live recruiting event at Tennessee

Tennessee hosted over 20 key targets for the 2025 class on Saturday with their 865-Live event. Volquest caught up with most of the prospects in town to get their reaction to the weekend. Here is what they are saying.

Onis Konanbanny-Corner

“It was really a good day for sure,” Konanbanny said of the visit. “It was a lot of fun. I love it here. This is where I see myself being able to play.”

Jared Smith-DL

“It was a great opportunity to spend time with the coaches and not really recruiting. Just having a good time. Tennessee is very high (for me). Not a lot of people know that, but Tennessee is very high on my list.”

Jaime Ffrench-WR

“Man, really just enjoyed being around the people and being around them without the recruiting pitch,” Ffrench said of this event. “Just getting a feel for the people and being around Knoxville. That is it.

“Me and coach Pope have a tight relationship. I would say what stands out is his brotherhood. He keeps that with his receiver room. The chance to get to work with him is awesome.”

Nic Moore-OL

“I enjoyed all the energy,” Moore said. “It was a really energetic experience. The scavenger hunt, the talent show and coming back down to (Neyland) for the party was a whole bunch of energy.”

Bryce Donovan Jenkins-DL

“They have a playbook that fits me well,” Donovan Jenkins said. “It just feel like a place I can see myself in.”

Donovan Starr-Corner

“It was great. I got to be up here for the first time and meet all of the coaches. It was a pretty good day,” Starr said. “They definitely showed a lot of love with it being my first visit. It shocked me for sure.”

5-star David Sanders asked Volquest if he could talk with us at the On3 Elite Series event in Nashville and so we will catch up with him on Tuesday.
