A lot of firsts have already occurred in Hoover this week, with drama unfolding at the SEC Baseball Tournament. Christian Moore may have produced another, hitting a home run over the batter’s eye on Saturday against Tennessee. If you ask the SEC Network broadcast crew, they have never seen anyone hit a ball that far.

Moore was down 2-0 in the count and was apparently ready for the high fastball coming his way. Going over 113 miles per hour off the bat, the home run wound up going 441 feet. An absolute no-doubter from Moore to give Tennessee a 5-2 lead.

Tom Hart said it best, “That thing was smoked.” Not too often in college baseball do you see a dead-center shot, clearing everything in the outfield.
