With Kanye West and Kim Kardashian as parents, it was only a matter of time before North West shot to stardom herself. The eldest of Ye and Kim’s four children took to the stage this May in a production of the Lion King – naturally, North landed the leading role.
Despite a rocky divorce, initially filed by Kim Kardashian in 2021, she and Ye were united as co-parents during North’s big Hollywood show. As their daughter played the role of Young Simba, singing I Just Can’t Wait To Be King, Kim and Ye watched on as proud parents. Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, and her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, have also been spotted in the audience by eagle-eyed fans.
North West stars in The Lion King
On Friday, May 24, North West made her Hollywood Bowl singing debut.
At just 10 years old, she took to the stage for a live concert event of The Lion King.
Kim and Ye‘s daughter received a standing ovation for her performance, reports TMZ.
The live-to-film concert is airing to mark the 30th anniversary of the classic Disney movie.
North took to the stage for her big singing debut as more icons also performed including Jennifer Hudson (singing Can You Feel The Love Tonight) and Jeremy Irons (singing Be Prepared). The show also featured a live orchestra.
As well as her parents, grandmother, and aunt, North’s siblings and Travis Barker were in the audience.
North’s moves in the music world
Although Friday marked North’s Hollywood Bowl debut, she’s no stranger to performing on stage.
The 10-year-old features on her father’s Vultures album and stole the show at the listening party back in December last year.
The words she rapped: “It’s your bestie, Ms Miss Westy,” stayed in everyone’s heads for a solid week after North took to the stage.
Many rap stars were in attendance at the event including Chris Brown, Lil Durk, and Bad Bunny.
Judging by North showcasing her singing talents this May, there’s no slowing down for her as she proves she’s born to be a star.
