Stan Collymore sends a message to Celtic after big Scottish Cup win vs Rangers

This is certainly going to be a day for messages to Celtic after the big win over Rangers in the Scottish Cup at Hampden yesterday afternoon.

Already this morning we have discussed how theCeltic fans kept Daizen Maeda awake last night, Moussa Dembele’s class tweet and how Celtic’s Unique Angle captured Callum McGregor’s superb reaction to Adam Idah’s winner.

And now, it’s the turn of Stan Collymore. The former Aston Villa man is a huge fan of the club and last night, he took the opportunity to send a message to Celtic after their big Scottish Cup win at Hampden.

Collymore’s Celtic social media love-in

Listing all of Celtic’s historic trophy count, Collymore sent this class message to the club’s staff, management and supporters:

Celtic are Scotland’s most successful club and their domination of the Scottish game is, in part, down to Brendan Rodgers’ trophy haul over both his spells as the Celtic boss.

Yesterday’s Scottish Cup win not only continued the Celtic boss’ unbeaten run in the competition, it also delivered Rodgers’ ninth domestic winners medal to add to his impressive record.

And the goal that won it? Well, Collymore decided to post that from Premier Sports’ X account as well as he celebrated Celtic’s win last night:

As Collymore points out, this is Celtic’s 118th trophy in their illustrious unbroken history and with Rodgers having a Champions League bounty coming his way, the Hoops gaffer looks set to continue the club’s domination for the next couple of seasons at least.

And it looks like the board’s gamble to get Rodgers to return is paying off in tremendous fashion.

With the summer set up to be a big one in terms of transfers for the Celtic support, there is plenty to be looking forward to ahead of the upcoming new season.
