Everton have just released a Bramley-Moore Dock stadium update that shows how close to completion they are

Everton’s Bramley-Moore Dock stadium continues to rise up, and the progress made on this construction over the last year or so has been truly startling.

It was always bound to fly up, but after years of doing the dirty work, filling in the dock and ensuring the foundation was secure, it did feel like nothing tangible was happening.

Rival fans mocked the turgid process, but now there is a beautiful silence from those who previously mocked the Toffees.

Already, this arena seems mightily impressive, and is poised to be one of England’s most sought-after venues.

State-of-the-art and able to host much more than just football, Farhad Moshiri has conjured a masterstroke, and will leave a rather sizable parting gift for the club which he has otherwise regressed so much.

Everton drop fresh stadium update

At the very least, the Iranian businessman’s legacy will be inarguably intertwined with this new stadium.

He does deserve praise for that at least.

However, it remains hanging over the club at the moment in a more negative way, funnelling key finances away in their hour of need.

Were they to have been run well beforehand, that would not matter, but it kind of just feels like the Toffees keep limping to safety, praying that the eventual move-in will offer sustainability and salvation.

That being said, excitement is building with each new update, with the latest one placing the current progress alongside the mock-ups of the completed build made many years ago.

It’s fair to say that we are not far away from that inevitability now, and it is startling just how similar the two pictures now look as the royal blue seats begin to creep into the stands. Once the pitch is installed, fans can truly start to dream about moving in.

When will Everton move into the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium?

Despite the progress made in the last few months especially, both on the interior and exterior, we are still actually quite far away from the official move-in date.

After all, it is expected that construction will be completed later this calendar year, so mid-way through the 2024/25 Premier League season.

With that in mind, the club have made the decision to delay the departure from Goodison Park until the end of that campaign, thus giving the Old Lady the proper send-off she deserves.
