Buckeyes near top of leaderboard after two days at NCAA Championship

After two days at the NCAA Championship, Ohio State in the hunt as a team. Following back-to-back 294s as a team, the Buckeyes are in good shape to advance as one of the top 15 teams into the final round.

Ohio State is currently tied for sixth — with a team score of +12.

Neal Shipley shot a two-under 70 to lead the Buckeyes on Saturday. He’s tied for 27th overall on the individual side; he’s +3 for the tournament. Adam Wallin, meanwhile, shot a two-over 74 on Saturday. After an opening round four-under-par 68, he’s tied for second overall as an individual.

Ohio State is part of the morning wave on Sunday.

Ohio State left spring with a good read on its five-man quarterback room.

No, the Buckeyes weren’t ready to name a starter — or even define a pecking order for the unit. But they certainly learned a lot about their signal-callers in the 15 practices stretching from early March to mid-April.
