Arsenal told they'll have to break Declan Rice transfer fee to sign 'sensational' striker

Arsenal have to shatter their transfer record if they are to sign one of the most in-form strikers in the Premier League.

Although the season has only just ended, Arsenal are already planning for the next campaign.

There have been reports of Arsenal being open to offloading a number of players, including attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe, and there is speculation that the Gunners will sign a top striker in the summer transfer window.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney has been linked. TalkSPORT pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor thinks that he would suit Arsenal.

According to CaughtOffSide, Isak is on Arsenal’s list. Newcastle have held talks with Isak over his future and do not want to sell him, unless they are offered €200 million (£171 million). This means that the Gunners have to break their own transfer record.

Arsenal’s record signing is Declan Rice. The Gunners paid an initial £100 million to West Ham United in the summer of 2023 for the England international midfielder.

What pundits have been saying about Alexander Isak

Newcastle have not had the season they expected to, but no one can blame Isak for that.

Isak was superb for Newcastle this season and was one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old Sweden international striker scored 21 goalsand gave two assists in 27 Premier League starts. Isak found the back of the net 10 times and provided one assist in 17 league starts in 2022-23.

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer is a big fan of Isak and described him as “sensational” in April. The BBC Sport pundit thinks that the striker is “a constant threat all the time”.

TalkSPORT pundit Tony Cascarino has said that Isak would be “perfect” for Arsenal. Former Gunners star Paul Merson believes that the North London club would “go to another level” with the Swede in the team.
