The Israeli military said Sunday that soldiers shot dead a Palestinian near Hebron in the occupied West Bank who had attempted to carry out a knife attack on an army post.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said that it had been informed of the attacker's death by the Israeli security authorities and that he was a 14-year-old boy.
The Israeli military said no soldiers were injured.
This brings the number of West Bank Palestinians killed in clashes with Israeli security forces, their own attacks, or by radical settlers to 191 since the beginning of the year and 497 since the start of the Gaza war on October 7.
