'Unbelievable': Declan Rice says £45m Arsenal player is better than everyone else in training, he's the best

Declan Rice has revealed who he thinks is the best player in Arsenal training every day.

The Gunners have a magnificent squad. They challenged for the Premier League title two seasons in a row and are definitely on the right path.

That would not be possible if every player at Arsenal didn’t give their 100 per cent in training every single day. Rice has been impressed with a couple of them.

Declan Rice raves about Gabriel Jesus and another Arsenal teammate in training

Declan Rice finished his first season at Arsenal, and he was arguably their best player.

The Englishman has proved to be an unbelievable signing for the Gunners, and it has been a real step up for him as well as he’s been playing with stars who are significantly better than most of his former teammates.

Mikel Arteta‘s training sessions are usually very intense, and the work that goes on behind the scenes is the reason for their success on the pitch.

Rice is a tremendous player in training himself, but two of his Arsenal teammates seem to have caught his eye after seeing how well they train.

In a video on Chinese website Iqiyi, Rice was asked to name who he thinks is the best trainer at Arsenal.

The midfielder first said it was either Gabriel Jesus or Martin Odegaard before giving the edge to the Brazil international.

Rice said: “I think it’s either Gabriel Jesus or Odegaard, one of them two, they are just so good at football.

“Probably Jesus but Odegaard is there as well, they’re both just so good. The stuff they do with the ball is unbelievable. To see it, it’s so good!”

Mikel Arteta could make Gabriel Jesus decision that would divide Arsenal fans

Gabriel Jesus had a difficult 2023/24 season.

Injuries really affected the Brazil international, and that, according to Arsene Wenger, was the reason why he didn’t score as many goals as he should’ve – he finished the campaign with just eight in all competitions.

That has led to reports that Arsenal could sell Jesus this summer, and many fans would back that idea.

However, Arteta made it clear in his press conference at the start of May that he has no plans of letting Jesus leave the club this summer (Arsenal.com).

That stance could divide the Arsenal fan base as some feel the £45 million (BBC) man needs to leave, while others are adamant he is a good player to have in the squad.
