'We will take it': Pep Guardiola says Man City will definitely win one particular trophy next season

Pep Guardiola has claimed that Manchester City will certainly win one particular trophy next season.

Usually, the £378,846-a-week man, like most managers does not provide any guarantees about their team winning trophies.

Winning any trophy is a challenging task, even if in Manchester City’s case, they are favourites to win most.

Guardiola guarantees Man City will win one trophy next season

Season upon season, a majority of leagues around the world seem to be improving as well.

As a result, City will face a lot of competition in their quest to win the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup as well.

However, during his side’s title parade celebrating winning four league titles in a row, Pep Guardiola told the Manchester City supporters that they will win the FA Cup next season.

The Catalan said on the club’s official YouTube channel: “We will be back. Next season, FA Cup, we will take it.”

Guardiola seems more determined than ever to win the FA Cup

The Sky Blues’ season ended on a sour note as they lost the FA Cup final to Manchester United — a result that would have left a bitter taste in Guardiola’s mouth.

With the title parade taking place two days after the FA Cup final, Pep Guardiola must have still been thinking about the 2-1 defeat.

It seems like the Spaniard has been motivated to win the competition in the following campaign more than ever.

Guardiola’s sides rarely lose in finals.

Pep Guardiola would have been bitterly disappointed to see his Manchester City side lose to a much inferior Manchester United team.

Both due to the rivalry between both clubs and simply the fact that his team could not get over the line.

Considering Guardiola felt his tactical gameplan was far from the best, he would especially be determined to right his wrongs.

It would not be a surprise if Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola takes the FA Cup more seriously than ever next season — to win the competition due to the defeat this year as well as his promise.
