Bailey Cadamarteri sends message to his brother and tips them achieve one first at Sheffield Wednesday

Bailey Cadamarteri has backed himself and brother Caelan-Kole to become the firsts to do one thing at Sheffield Wednesday.

Bailey Cadamarteri burst onto the scene this season, making his debut in November before going onto net three goals in his first five starts.

The striker lost his place in the starting line-up in the second half of the campaign, but remains very highly-rated at Hillsborough.

Cadamarteri isn’t the only exciting family member coming through the academy though, with younger brother Caelan-Kole also impressing.

The youngster took to X over the weekend as he took his tally for the campaign to a whopping 56 goals for the youth side.

Caelan-Kole wrote: “Season done for me now nice to sign off with a goal #2chips taking me to 56 for the season. Now I’m looking forward to going away with @ScotlandNT u15s next week and then going to watch @Baileycadz for @England u20s Elite squad the week after . We’re gonna smash next season Bay.”

Caelan-Kole made his debut for Scotland U15s last month, netting a brace against Hong Kong in a 3-1 win.

The Cadamarteris could be the first brothers to do one thing

The youngster clearly follows in Bailey’s footsteps and his older brother is eager to see him reach the first-team.

The 18-year-old responded to his brother, writing: “You have had a great season lil man scoring all types of goals and across 3 age groups even I didn’t play up 2 years when i was your age.

“Keep flying and you never know we could be the 1st 2 brothers to play in the same team for @swfc Good luck away with Scotland.”

Can Bailey Cadamarteri become an England international?

Caelan-Kole is currently playing for the Scotland national team, while Bailey has so far selected to play for England.

However, the teenager has attracted interest from Jamaica and could still opt to play for the Reggae Boyz if he doesn’t manage to force his way into the England senior set-up.

Given that Cadamarteri is only 18 years old, he still has plenty of time to push for a place in the senior squad.

The teenager will face competition from the rest of his generation of talent such as Liam Delap, Cameron Archer and Jay Stansfield for a place in the team once they reach their prime – though all of them are older than Cadamarteri.

If the striker can establish himself as a regular in theSheffield Wednesday in a few years time then there could be no stopping him from becoming a player worthy of the Premier League.
