There were 66 combat engagements in the frontline since the beginning of the day. The most intense combat activity remains in the Pokrovsk and Kharkiv directions. Russian troops are also concentrating their attacks near Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The number of combat engagements in the Kharkiv direction increased to 10. Four combat engagements are ongoing. The situation is under control, Ukrainian troops are strengthening their defense. At the same time, the enemy has already used 17 guided aerial bombs. In particular, Vovchansk, Lyptsy, and Staryi Saltiv were hit by guided aerial bombs.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces tried to break into Ukrainian defense lines seven times with air support, attacking near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Berestove, Hrekivka, Druzheliubivka, Nevske and Miasozharivka. They used guided aerial bombs to hit Ozerne, Kupiansk, and Petropavlivka.
Three enemy attacks took place in the Lyman direction. The aggressor attacked in the vicinity of Terny. Ukrainian troops are acting actively and repelling the attacks.
Ukrainian troops repelled five more attacks by Russian forces in the Siversk direction. Three enemy attacks were stopped near Vyimky. Another one took place near Verkhnekamianske and in the area of Spirne, where the Russian army attacked with the support of aviation.
In the area of Novyi settlement near Chasiv Yar, the enemy has already carried out five assault actions since the beginning of the day. Another attack was conducted on Klishchiyivka and Ivanivske. In total, in the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attacks by the enemy. Tarasivka and Druzhba came under air strikes.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the number of hostile attacks has increased to 16 since the beginning of the day. Russians are attacking near Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Sokil, Umanske, Novoselivka Persha and Netailove. The situation is tense. Enemy aircraft attacked Sokil and Zhelenne.
Ukrainian troops prevented eight enemy attacks in the Kurakhove direction. The situation is under control.
In the Vremivka direction, the Russian forces have already made five offensive attempts - in addition to Staromaiorsk, also in the direction of Urozhaine settlement. The Russian army attacked Piatykhatky from the air.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy conducted one unsuccessful attack near Robotyne.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, near Krynky and other left-bank footholds, four enemy attacks were repelled.
As noted by the General Staff, Ukrainian troops are depleting the enemy along the entire front line. All necessary measures are being taken to strengthen the defense and decisions are being made promptly.
Situation at the front on May 27
Earlier, the General Staff reported that since the beginning of the day on May 27, the largest number of combat engagements was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction. The defense forces are holding back the enemy's attack.
The command also warned of a tense situation in the vicinity of Petropavlivka in the Kupiansk direction.
