Preliminarily identified as an UMPB D-30 glide bomb, the ordnance “miraculously did not reach” the hypermarket, or the casualties could have been "much higher," the prosecutor's office stated.
Law enforcement officials noted that the attack was supported by reconnaissance drones for targeting, suggesting Russia's "deliberate tactic" of targeting civilians.
"The Russian military deliberately launched several ordnances to cause as many deaths as possible among workers and customers and to intimidate city residents," the message said.
On May 25, Russia struck Kharkiv’s Epicentr home improvement store with two glide bombs. About 200 people were inside the store. At least 18 people have been killed in the attack, with more people still missing.
