Patrick Mahomes said he played really well at Augusta National last weekend. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is a pretty decent golfer, so shooting a good score where The Masters is held every year should hold some bragging rights with teammates.

Mahomes played in The Match VI, as far as his professional-ish golf game goes. He was paired with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen as the faced off against Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.

Maybe Mahomes spent some time improving his game on the links. At least that’s what he told Pat McAfee.

“Golf game is really good, just got back from Augusta last weekend,” Mahomes said on The Pat McAfee Show. “Played really well out there. Played great from the member tees and then tried to play from the pro tees, did not go as well.”

Golf is not the only thing Mahomes has interest in outside of football. Sure, he’s won three Super Bowls, is considered the best quarterback on the planet right now and could win more.

But other than golf, Mahomes hinted at potentially wanting to compete in the WWE.

Mahomes showed up to WWE Raw at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City with Logan Paul and his Chiefs teammates Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith. He also brought his three Super Bowl rings and gave them to Paul so he could use them against fan favorite Jey Uso. The plan didn’t work, but Mahomes and his offensive lineman were cheered loudly despite working a heel angle on the show.

Carson Wentz to backup Patrick Mahomes in 2024

Back on the football field, Mahomes and the Chiefs go for the three-peat in 2024. Joining him in the quaterback room is veteran and former No. 2 overall pick Carson Wentz.

“Carson did a nice job when he worked with the Rams, had a nice game actually for them right at the end there,”head coach Andy Reid said of Wentz joining Mahomes in the room. “I welcome him in. We talked to him last year when we were talking to Blaine [Gabbert]. He was holding off for an opportunity possibly to start.

“It was good to get him in this position, and if has an opportunity to play, he has an opportunity to play. We’ll see how it goes, but he’s really handled it well since he’s been here. He’s a good football player.”
