How much Arsenal are willing to sell Newcastle target Aaron Ramsdale for in summer window

Arsenal have reportedly set their asking price for Aaron Ramsdale amid rumoured interest in the goalkeeper from Newcastle United

The north London side are set for a busy summer in terms of new signings, yet departures could arguably be just as important for Arsenal in the coming weeks with the amount of players who are available for sale.

Recent weeks have seen the likes of Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus linked with moves away from Arsenal, with the Gunners in a good position to rake in quite a substantial amount of income through player sales.

And Ramsdale is another player who could be on the move this summer, though Arsenal’s demands might cause some issues.

Newcastle cool interest in Aaron Ramsdale over £30m asking price

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle have cooled their interest in Ramsdale due to how much Arsenal are now asking for the England international this summer.

As per the report, the Gunners want as much as £30m for the former Sheffield United star, who this season lost his starting XI spot to David Raya, who won the Premier League Golden Glove award.

With Arsenal signing Ramsdale back in 2021 for a similar fee, the Gunners are well within their right to demand as much as £30m for the 26-year-old goalkeeper, who this weekend was spotted at the Championship playoff final.

Yet with the goalkeeping market in a sticky spot, Arsenal could struggle big time to find a buyer for Ramsdale, which could lead to a new approach in how the Gunners look to offload the shot-stopper.

Arsenal might have to resort to loaning out Ramsdale this summer

Arsenal have often found themselves in this position where their demands for a player who is allowed to leave simply doesn’t attract the interest needed to bring in a good transfer fee.

Whilst this summer could see some good offers for a number of players, Ramsdale might fail to attract a bid worth £30m due to his lack of football last year, and this could lead to Arsenal loaning out the goalkeeper.

Indeed, the goalkeeping market is in an unusual state, and as such, Arsenal might have to resort to loaning out Ramsdale instead of a permanent sale if a good enough bid fails to come in.
