Anton Du Beke in show of support for Strictly co-star Giovanni Pernice as legal battle continues: 'Together again!'

Anton Du Beke seems to be supporting Giovanni Pernice amid the legal battle he has found himself locked into.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Du Beke, 57, has been off-screen pals with Pernice, 33, for a while, with the two taking part in tours together as well as fronting a BBC travel show.

Strictly Instagram account Strictlytheatreco shared a clip of the two dancers chatting about their upcoming tour on the weekend.

"First day of rehearsals, always my favourite day - second day, less so," Du Beke announced as he stood next to a smiling Pernice.

"Because we have to remember everything we've one in day one," the Italian dancer replied, laughing.

He excitedly added: "We are back on tour, we are back!" Turning to hug Du Beke, he continued: "It feels nice."

"It feels nice," Du Beke agreed before Pernice explained: "We are back on tour, we can't wait to see all of you."

"From the 14th June and then we're on the road until the end of July," the Strictly judge elaborated.

He continued: "Very, very exciting, we've got a great show, we've got the most amazing cast, the dancers and singers are remarkable."

"Unbelievable," Pernice agreed, adding: "The show is called Together," as Du Beke pulled him in for a hug.

Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice

"And whatever we do, we do it..." Pernice started before the two said in unison: "Together!"

The clip was captioned: "Strictlytheatreco - TOGETHER Again!!! www.antonandgiovanni.com NOT TO BE MISSED!! @mrantondubeke @giovannipernice #togetheragain #togethertour #rehearsals #ukandirelandtour2024 #booknow #antondubeke #giovannipernice #backatit."

Pernice appeared in good spirits despite the ongoing claims being made about him and reports he has quit his role on Strictly.

The choreographer has continued to make headlines after being embroiled in a legal battle sparked by his celebrity dance partner in last year's show, Amanda Abbington.

Abbington accused Pernice of enforcing a "militant" and "bullying" approach to training after she decided to leave last year's show in week five.

Since the reports, other previous celebrities partnered with Pernice have come forward to make similar complaints.

It's believed Pernice has quit the show over the allegations, which he has denied, but this is yet to be confirmed by him and the BBC.
