TV star looks 'healthy, slim and happier' as show's future hangs in the balance

When Little People, Big World season 25 episode 10 aired this Spring, many fans were left scratching their heads over whether the show would be back next season. The dynamics over the years have totally shifted between Matt Roloff and some of his family members. But, he recently took to social media to answer fans’ burning questions when it comes to his relationship with his kids on and off the show.

Since 2006, TLC has been bringing Little People, Big World to screens. Matt and Amy Roloff pretty much raised their whole family on the show. Nowadays, they both have new partners after getting divorced eight years ago. The couple’s son, said there’s “not much a relationship” between him and his dad these days. Given the shift in dynamics, many fans were convinced season 25 would be the last they’d see of the Roloffs.

Matt Roloff talks Little People Big World’s future

As Little People, Big World season 25 episode 10 aired on TLC, many people jumped to the conclusion that the show was ending.

Lots of viewers expressed their “sadness” on social media. The assumption does make sense given that Tori and Zach Roloff shared how they’re not returning to LPBW earlier this year.

However, Matt shares his take on the future of the show in an exclusive with Entertainment Tonight this May.

Matt said: “It definitely was a season finale.

“Whether it was a series finale or not, I don’t think anybody really knows. I don’t even think the network knows.”

Matt adds how “several cast members, several family members” have “expressed a desire to move onto different projects.”

LPBW ‘keeps going’

Speaking about the future of his family’s reality TV show, Matt described Little People, Big World as an “engine,” that everytime you think it’s going to stop, “it keeps going somehow.”

But, in regards to a potential season 26, Matt said “…at this point, I don’t know.”

He said there are “always conversations going on” with the network, but for now, everyone is taking an “extended break.”

Matt confirmed there’s “no bad blood” with the network and added how if it weren’t to renew, the family would be “OK”: “I think we all feel very happy with the journey of Little People, Big World.”

If the show was to return for season 26, the TLC star said he’d be happy to take more of a break than the usual four months before filming again.

He said he’s been enjoying “pool time in Arizona,” and it looks like fans have noticed the relaxation time paying off as many comment on the interview to say he looks “happier, slim, and healthier.”
