'Starboy'... Getafe announce Mason Greenwood as player of the season as striker bids farewell to Man Utd teammate

Mason Greenwood has wrapped up a successful season with Getafe after relaunching his career in Spain.

A late deadline day deal to send Mason Greenwood to Getafe saved Manchester United from a major dilemma. Without a transfer, the club may have had to consider whether to release him.

The loan move to Getafe has been great for Manchester United in that sense, offloading the Greenwood dilemma for a situation and also inflating his transfer value ahead of a potential sale this summer.

Greenwood has been a success at Getafe, with several bigger clubs now showing interest. Manchester United need funds, and a big money move could be in the pipeline.
