Located south of the A2 London Road, the former place of worship has a garden and off-road parking at the back.

It is among 175 lots listed for sale by Clive Emson, the land and property auctioneers, ahead of its next sale, which is its 250th.

It is being offered with a freehold guide price of £330,000.

Jon Rimmer, auction appraiser, said: “Church and chapel conversions are very popular.

“The buildings are generally extremely well built and often they are in the centre of a village.

“This has permission to be converted into a three-bedroom house.

“At present the interior is a large worship hall with other smaller rooms including a kitchen.

“Builders are likely to be interested in this lot and there will be plenty of demand for such a property.”
