NC State baseball is a regional host as it begins a new season in the NCAA Tournament. And as the Wolfpack closed ACC play on a surge, it has also continued to rise in the weekly rankings around the country.

D1Baseball ranked the Pack as the No. 11 team in the country entering this week’s regional, up one spot from last week’s poll. Baseball America, meanwhile, slotted the Wolfpack at No. 7, the same spot it was in last week’s iteration.

The Wolfpack checked in at No. 15 in the RPI rankings, while it was seeded 10th in the NCAA Tournament.

NC State opens regional play against Bryant on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Doak Field. South Carolina and James Madison will play earlier in the day at 2 p.m. to determine who will advance to the winner’s and loser’s bracket games on Saturday afternoon.
