Daniel Levy has now missed out on lucrative deal after Tottenham failed to qualify for Champions League

Tottenham Hotspur have now missed out on an extra source of revenue following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Ange Postecoglou‘s first campaign in charge of Tottenham has seen a lot of change over the last 12 months in north London.

Although Spurs may have fallen short in their hunt for a spot in the Champions League, the Australian has still delivered improvement in landing Europa League football.

Spurs played just one game more than the bare minimum over the 2023/24 campaign with no European football on display.

But the north Londoners were able to bring in some extra revenue through their end-of-season trip to Melbourne, Australia.

However, Daniel Levy has seen Spurs miss out on a potentially lucrative deal which could have brought in a good source of extra revenue for the club.

Tottenham miss out on deal after failing to land Champions League

The summer transfer window is going to provide Postecoglou with an opportunity to improve his squad after having a year to assess the options at his disposal.

And financially, Spurs are in good shape to attack the transfer market having announced record levels of revenue in their latest financial report.

And Tottenham will be going into the summer knowing they will also have a boost to their revenue with their qualification for Europa League football.

However, there was another source of revenue which was to play for this season with Spurs and Chelsea battling it out to earn a fourth-kit deal with Jordan.

And now it is being reported both clubs have managed to miss out on the sponsorship deal with Jordan following their failure to land Champions League football.

The Blues were unable to even land Europa League football in the end after Manchester United’s FA Cup triumph earned them the other spot in the competition.

Although it is a deal which Spurs would have certainly welcomed, it is unlikely to change their plans going into the summer transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou will be eyeing early deals this summer

Unlike Tottenham, there are a number of clubs that could be forced to sell players before 30 June to comply with FFP.

Spurs have already shown they are willing to deal with those clubs to and provide them with some room to manoeuvre as they work to keep the right side of the financial regulations.

This summer could be no different with Tottenham linked to a number of players from clubs who could be forced to sell early on in this summer’s transfer window.

There is still no contract on the table for Chelsea’s midfielder as the Blues focus on finding their replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs are believed to be huge admirers of Gallagher and could look to strike an early deal as Chelsea find themselves on the wrong side of FFP.

  • Nottingham Forest – Callum Hudson-Odoi

Tottenham signed Brennan Johnson from Forest last summer to provide them with some money to balance their books.

This summer could be a repeat with the Lilywhites said to have a potentialinterest in their winger, Hudson-Odoi.

  • Everton – Amadou Onana

Like Forest, Everton are one of the sides who picked up a points deduction this season after falling short of FFP.

Spurs have taken Richarlison from Goodison Park in recent years and are now said to be keen on their Belgian midfielder, Onana.
