Carlo Ancelotti now confirms that Real Madrid will be his final club in football

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is enjoying another outstanding season in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu, and he has no desire to move anywhere else.

Los Blancos have enjoyed a stellar campaign, and the best could be yet to come. Despite losing Karim Benzema in the summer, and the squad suffering from several injuries, Ancelotti navigated Real Madrid to a comfortable La Liga triumph, and to another Champions League final.

Ancelotti is expected to stay for at least one more year, despite reports at the start of the season indicating that he was set to take the Brazil job, and he has now expressed his desire to retire at the club.

After a week in which legendary midfielder Toni Kroos announced that this season would be his last in football, Ancelotti has also confirmed that there is no place better to end on a high note than Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti says he wants to retire at Real Madrid

Speaking to Republicca, Ancelotti stated that his desire is to eventually end his career at Real Madrid, rather than taking another job elsewhere.

“I will retire as Real Madrid manager. My career will finish at Real Madrid,” he stated.

“As long as Real Madrid want me to stay, I will be here available for the club”.

At the back end of last season, serious questions were being raised about whether Ancelotti was the right manager for Real Madrid. Barcelona had triumphed in La Liga, and Los Blancos were humiliated by Manchester City in the Champions League.

Ancelotti overcame all of these doubts, and the Benzema situation, which saw him unexpectedly leave with no star striker to replace him.

He successfully changed shape to accommodate the lack of striker, as well as the arrival of Jude Bellingham, and he has helped him and other young talents such as Vinicius Junior thrive.

Real Madrid are playing with freedom and danger in transition, and they are competing at the highest level despite several key long term injuries, and Ancelotti deserves credit for finding the ability to navigate the club to victory in difficult circumstances.
