Elon Musk has suggested that artificial intelligence will abolish human jobs which will result in "universal high income".
The billionaire added that as technology continues to advance and the need for humans to work is reduced, there will "be no shortage of goods or services".
Speaking at the Viva Technology conference in Paris on Thursday, the CEO of Tesla was asked whether he was worried about losing his job to AI.
Musk said: "In a benign scenario, probably none of us will have a job.
"There will be universal high income — and not universal basic income — universal high income.
"There’ll be no shortage of goods or services."
The founder of SpaceX added that he believes there is an 80 per cent chance that AI advances will lead to a situation where humans will not need a job.
"The question will really be one of meaning, of how — if a computer can do, and the robots can do everything better than you… does your life have meaning?" Musk said.

Musk has previously said that AI will lead to humans having all they need.
While speaking to Rishi Sunak at the first AI Safety Summit in London last year, the owner of social media platform X predicted that AI will become so advanced that humans will no longer be required to work.
"I think we are seeing the most disruptive force in history here," Musk said.
"It’s hard to say exactly what that moment is, but there will come a point where no job is needed.
"You can have a job if you want to have a job — sort of personal satisfaction — but the AI will be able to do everything."
It comes after Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI closed a $6billion (£4.7billion) investment round - making the firm among the best-funded challengers to OpenAI.
