Head men’s basketball coach Micah Shrewsberry has renovated Notre Dame’s roster ahead of his second season in South Bend. Four players departed and six arrived throughout the team-building period.
Here’s a detailed look at every addition, subtraction and returning player for the 2024-25 Irish.

Notre Dame men’s basketball transfer additions
All three transfer additions are graduate students with one season of eligibility remaining.
Guard Matt Allocco
Previous school: Princeton
Height/weight: 6-4, 197
2023-24 stats (29 games, 29 starts): 12.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 50.4 FG%, 41.2 3P%, 90.9 FT% in 33.6 minutes per game
Outlook: The shooting numbers say it all. Allocco will be a relied-upon scorer with NCAA Tournament experience in Notre Dame’s backcourt, and he has a good chance to start.
Forward Burke Chebuhar
Previous school: Lehigh
Height: 6-8, 230
2023-24 stats (33 games, 22 starts): 7.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 45.4 FG%, 32.6 3P%, 76.7 FT% in 22.9 minutes per game
Outlook: Chebuhar will fight for minutes as a stretch forward. If his late-season shooting numbers translate to the Atlantic Coast Conference, he could have a role.
Forward Nikita Konstantynovskyi
Previous school: Monmouth
Height/weight: 6-10, 245
2023-24 stats (33 games, 32 starts): 9.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 52.6 FG%, 0.0 3P%, 65.2 FT% in 23.5 minutes per game
Outlook: Konstantynovskyi was one of the better per-36 minute rebounders in the nation last season. His offensive game is limited, but he’ll challenge for a starting spot.

Guard Cole Certa
High school: Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
Height/weight: 6-5, 175
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 112 overall, No. 25 shooting guard (four stars)
Committed to Notre Dame over: Nebraska, Illinois, Butler, Northwestern
Outlook: Certa’s hallmark is shooting, and he’ll see the court as a freshman if he proves he can make 3-pointers at a high rate right away.
Guard Sir Mohammed
High school: Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park
Height/weight: 6-6, 200
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 72 overall, No. 25 small forward (four stars)
Committed to Notre Dame over: Villanova, Virginia Tech, Stanford, Penn State, Marquette
Outlook: Mohammed is expected to make an immediate impact. His defensive versatility, lead guard ability on offense and high basketball IQ could let him challenge for starter’s minutes.
Forward Garrett Sundra
High school: Chantilly (Va.) Paul VI Catholic
Height/weight: 6-10, 215
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 157 overall, No. 29 power forward (three stars)
Committed to Notre Dame over: Butler, Miami, Providence, Virginia Tech
Outlook: Sundra is the most likely freshman to either redshirt or play limited minutes as he develops on the practice floor, but don’t count his combination of height and shooting out of the rotation just yet.

Guard Markus Burton
Class (Years left): Sophomore (3)
Height/weight: 5-11, 166
2023-24 stats (33 games, 33 starts): 17.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 42.1 FG%, 30.0 3P%, 82.1 FT% in 33.8 minutes per game
Outlook: Notre Dame is building around Burton, whose electrifying skillset made him the ACC Rookie of the Year last season. After making his name at nearby Mishawaka (Ind.) Penn, he’s become a hometown college star.
Forward Tae Davis
Class (Years left): Junior (2)
Height/weight: 6-9, 208
2023-24 stats (32 games, 31 starts): 9.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 48.4 FG%, 18.4 3P%, 72.3 FT% in 26.0 minutes per game
Outlook: Davis is locked into the starting lineup as Notre Dame’s most valuable defender. His offensive game should improve, and if he develops a 3-point shot, watch out.
Guard Logan Imes
Class (Years left): Sophomore (3)
Height/weight: 6-4, 189
2023-24 stats (31 games, 3 starts): 2.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 30.3 FG%, 22.2 3P%, 82.4 FT% in 17.4 minutes per game
Outlook: Imes must be more assertive with the ball in his hands, but Shrewsberry believes in him as a potential role player. This year will be important for his future at Notre Dame.
Guard J.R. Konieczny
Class (Years left): Senior (2 — redshirted in 2022-23)
Height/weight: 6-7, 204
2023-24 stats (32 games, 19 starts): 7.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 40.1 FG%, 33.0 3P%, 83.7 FT% in 22.7 minutes per game
Outlook: Konieczny plays his tail off, but he didn’t shoot as well as expected and a foot injury affected the back end of his junior year. His early-season run of four double-doubles in 14 games showed what he can do.
Forward Kebba Njie
Class (Years left): Junior (2)
Height/weight: 6-10, 254
2023-24 stats (29 games, 27 starts): 4.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 37.4 FG%, 12.5 3P%, 76.1 FT% in 24.3 minutes per game
Outlook: It’s a big season — sensing a theme here? — for Njie. Notre Dame did not acquire a guaranteed starter in the frontcourt, so he has a chance to reclaim his role. Playing stronger in the paint (on both ends of the floor) should be his offseason emphasis.
Guard Julian Roper II
Class (Years left): Senior (1)
Height/weight: 6-4, 210
2023-24 stats (31 games, 12 starts): 5.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 38.4 FG%, 33.7 3P%, 48.3 FT% in 22.9 minutes per game
Outlook: Roper settled into a sixth-man role in March and seemed to hit his stride. He’s a good defender and streaky shooter who seems like a good bet to find minutes off the bench in his final college season.
Guard Braeden Shrewsberry

2023-24 stats (33 games, 15 starts): 10.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 39.8 FG%, 37.1 FT%, 82.4 FT% in 28.2 minutes per game
Outlook: Starting shooting guard or spark plug off the bench? Either way, Shrewsberry’s play is going to make or break games for the Irish this season. If he shoots like he did in ACC play last season (41.5 percent from 3), Notre Dame is in business.

Forward Carey Booth
Class (Years left): Sophomore (3)
Height/weight: 6-10, 203
2023-24 stats (33 games, 19 starts): 6.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 39.1 FG%, 29.7 3P%, 63.4 FT% in 19.9 minutes per game
Destination: Illinois
Booth had arguably the highest ceiling on the roster, but he was raw as a freshman. He’ll hope to develop on the Fighting Illini, a perennial NCAA Tournament team.
Guard Tony Sanders Jr.

To Blue & Gold’s knowledge, Sanders did not enter the transfer portal during the postseason window. However, he will not return to Notre Dame. If he hopes to use his final season of eligibility, he’ll have to take a year off and transfer next spring.
Guard Alex Wade

Outlook: Wade began his career as a walk-on, but he was given one of Notre Dame’s three open scholarships last season. He is still looking for a home in the transfer portal.

Outlook: Zona was named Notre Dame’s captain late last season, but he transferred in search of more minutes. Fordham’s campus is just 25 miles from Zona’s hometown of Blauvelt, N.Y.
