Report: Arsenal have put £32m star on the 'chopping block', he could be sold now

Arsenal have decided they are open to letting 10 of their players leave the club this summer.

The Gunners came close to winning the Premier League title for the second consecutive season. They finished just two points behind Manchester City this time, and it has to be said that they getting closer.

Mikel Arteta will want to dethrone Pep Guardiola’s side in the 2024/25 season. To do that, he will have to strengthen his squad across multiple departments.

Before that happens, Arsenal need to sell a few players, and Arteta has reportedly put 10 of his men on the ‘chopping block’.

Arsenal are ready to sell Oleksandr Zinchenko

There will be a lot of changes at Arsenal this summer.

The Gunners will have a massive squad once all of their loan players return. Edu and Arteta will have to find a solution for many of them.

The returning loan players aren’t the only ones who could leave – a few players who were a part of Arteta’s first team in the 2023/24 season could be shown the door too.

One such player is Oleksandr Zinchenko.

GiveMeSport claims that the Ukraine international is one among 10 Arsenal players who have been put ‘on the chopping block’ ahead of the summer transfer window.

Zinchenko’s second season at Arsenal was impacted by injuries, but even when he was fit, the likes of Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu were preferred on multiple occasions.

The former Manchester City man will enter the final two years of his contract in July, and if the report is to be believed, Arsenal are ready to get rid of him.

Bayern Munich and Newcastle United have both been linked with a move to sign Zinchenko this summer.

Nine other players Arsenal have put on the ‘chopping block’

Oleksandr Zinchenko could be joined by as many as nine Arsenal players if he does leave the club in the summer transfer window.

Arteta and Edu have already decided the players they want to keep at the club, and it’s time for the latter to get rid of those who aren’t a part of the plans.

The report claims that along with Zinchenko, Arsenal have put Aaron Ramsdale, Emile Smith Rowe, Thomas Partey, Cedric Soares, Fabio Vieira, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, Kieran Tierney and Albert Sambi Lokonga on the ‘chopping block’.

Among those, Cedric is guaranteed to leave because he’ll be out of contract in July, but Edu will be keen to get some good money for the rest of the players.

Zinchenko, along with Smith Rowe, could be Arsenal’s most valuable asset. He was signed in a £32 million deal (Sky Sports) from Manchester City, and the fact that he is in the prime of his career at 27 means he could go for some serious cash.
