Cedric Soares has compared one current Arsenal player to Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.
The Portuguese defender will be leaving the club when his contract expires in July. He has already confirmed his exit and it will be interesting to see where he’ll end up.
In his four-and-a-half years on Arsenal‘s books, Cedric played with some hugely talented players at the Emirates Stadium.
He has now delivered his verdict on one of them.

Arsenal signed Fabio Vieira from Porto in the summer of 2022 for an initial £30 million fee.
The Portuguese playmaker was very highly rated back in his home country. He had an exceptional final season at Estadio do Dragao, where he scored seven goals and provided 16 assists in just 21 starts.
Arsenal were really impressed with those numbers and believed he had the potential to become a top player in the coming years.
That’s why he was brought in, but Vieira has found it difficult to adapt to the English game. He has shown flashes of his brilliance, but he’s still not ready to start games every week for Arsenal.
Cedric is one of the most experienced players at the Emirates. He has played with some incredible footballers for clubs and country over the years, and he has revealed the advice he often gives to Vieira.
The defender says he tells Vieira to learn from Manchester City star Bernardo Silva because they’re both very ‘similar’ players.
Speaking to Pedro Pinto on 1 Para 1, Cedric said: “How does Bernardo Silva, with his physique, make the difference he makes in the Premier League? Because he adapts his characteristics very well to the game. He thinks ahead of others, at all times.
“I often say this to Fabio (Vieira) because they’re players I think are similar, similar quality, both left-footed.”

The latest on Fabio Vieira’s Arsenal future
Vieira has been at Arsenal for two years, and he is yet to nail down a regular spot in the side.
In the 2023/24 season, the Portuguese midfielder played less than 500 minutes of football in all competitions. He scored just one goal and provided two assists all campaign.
As a result, Vieira’s future is up in the air, with reports claiming that Mikel Arteta is ready to sell him because he hasn’t really impressed behind the scenes.
Vieira is a really talented player and the fact that he’s still only 23 means he has the time to get better.
However, if Arsenal receive a decent offer for him this summer, we won’t be surprised at all to see Arteta and Edu move him on.
