Report claims Aston Villa have moved to hijack £21 million West Ham deal in the last few hours

It’s terrible news for West Ham United, with Aston Villa threatening to hijack our move to sign Youssef En-Nesyri.

However, West Ham hold a real ace card in the race with Aston Villa to sign the 26-year-old Sevilla hitman.

Youssef En-Nesyri has been on the Hammers’ radar for quite some time now, dating all the way back to January 2021.

The Morocco international is exactly the kind of striker we need at the London Stadium, so Villa’s interest in signing him is far from ideal.

Vamos Mi Sevilla, claim that Unai Emery’s Aston Villa have tried to hijack West Ham’s £21 million deal to sign En-Nesyri in the last few hours.

However, the Hammers hold a real ace card…

Julen Lopetegui is already planning for a big summer ahead.

We told you yesterday how Fabricio Bruno will be the Spaniard’s first signing at the London Stadium, whilst free agent Wes Foderingham could well be his second.

Hopefully En-Nesyri wil be the next player through the door, and despite Villa’s interest in signing him, we may well have a big advantage.

That is the fact that Lopetegui has managed the Sevilla hitman before, during his three-year spell in charge at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.

En-Nesyri played consistently under Lopetegui at Sevilla, and scored 35 goals during the 57-year-old’s rein.

Hopefully his relationship with his former manager will be enough to convince him to pick a move to the Hammers this summer.

Even so, Aston Villa entering the race to sign Youssef En-Nesyri is far from ideal for West Ham.
