Disgraced Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein will appear in a New York City courtroom Wednesday afternoon for issues related to his rape retrial.
"Weinstein is expected to appear in Manhattan Supreme Court Part 81 at approximately 2:30 p.m eastern time," the Mahattan District Attorney's Office told HNGN in an email Tuesday.
Last month, the Court of Appeals threw out his 2020 rape and sexual assault convictions brought against him by two female victims after the panel of judges ruled unfair testimony from other women who weren't part of the case was permitted, the Associated Press reported.
Weinstein, 72, remains imprisoned after he was sentenced to 16 years for rape and sex assault in separate cases in California.
