The Texas Longhorns’ 2025 class entered the day ranked No. 13 in the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings, one spot behind rival Oklahoma. When 2025 Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist Academy running back James Simon committed to the Longhorns on the Inside Texas YouTube channel, that propelled Texas’ class past the Sooners and into the No. 12 spot.

The Longhorns now have seven On3 Industry Ranking four-stars and three three-star prospects committed for 2025. Their average prospect rating is 90.06, good for the No. 11 spot in the country.
