The Russian military may escalate activities in another district of the Kharkiv direction, according to the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

According to Syniehubov, it is the Zolochiv direction. The leadership of the Kharkiv Military Administration is currently monitoring the enemy's actions.

"Regarding the Zolochiv direction, yes, we have some concerns. The enemy may escalate their actions in that direction. We are monitoring their behavior closely. We are prepared to take any measures, including evacuation of the population," stated the head of the Military Administration.

The situation in the Kharkiv region

Since May 10 of this month, the Russian army has intensified offensive actions in the Kharkiv direction. The military has not achieved significant successes but has occupied some territories in the "gray zone."

The General Staff reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to repel the threat of a breakthrough by the occupiers in the Kharkiv region, but fighting there is still ongoing.

In particular, battles continue in Vovchansk and neighboring settlements. According to the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian forces are bogged down in street fighting in Vovchansk.

Syniehubov reported that the Russian army wanted to reach Vovchansk in two days and Kharkiv in five.
