If you’re an avid reader of MC&T, then you’ve likely heard of “Yenko” in the past. It has a legendary history of taking General Motors vehicles and giving them some serious upgrades that take them from great cars to fantastic ones, with more power than most owners would ever know what to do with and exterior decals to ensure they stand out amongst other cars on the road. Specialty Vehicle Engineering has put together a Yenko C8 Corvette for people to enjoy, and by the looks of things, they will enjoy it.

Specialty Vehicle Engineering isn’t pulling the punches with the Corvette either, equipping the already epic 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine found within the Corvette Stingray with not one but two turbochargers, but, of course, that’s not all. While two 58-millimeter water-cooled turbochargers are nothing to scoff at, the Yenko Corvette also receives an engine treatment synonymous with the Yenko/SC name, that is, the addition of a forged steel crankshaft, aluminum forged pistons, forged H-beam rods, and a proprietary camshaft.

The Yenko Corvette also received a custom intake manifold, CNC-ported high-flow cylinder heads, custom valve covers, an ARP high-strength head, an upgraded fuel system, and a custom tune, all of which work in tandem to enable the LT2 to produce a whopping 1,000 horsepower. SVE has also upgraded the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox to handle the enormous increase in power.

While the powerhouse is the most enticing part of the build, the changes to the interior and exterior of the car aren’t without interest. SVE has given the vehicle embroidered SYC logos on the headrests and floor mats and a slew of graphics to ensure no one can mistake this car for your average Stingray. The graphics are offered in nine color choices, though there is a tenth carbon-fiber option for those wanting a bit more flare.

The Yenko Corvette is available in coupe and convertible forms, and any factory Corvette color. The Yenko-badged brake calipers come in red as standard, though customers can pick an optional color if they want. SVE is making just ten units of the Yenko/SC Corvette for 2024 with a starting price of $99,995, which doesn’t include the Corvette itself. But if you miss your chance to get your hands on this year’s units, SVE has announced plans to increase production to 50 cars in 2025.
